Back at least three years ago, I remember having a conversation with Marcus Cooke at Rickie and Ronnie’s Drive- in Diner in Torrance, CA about his Infiniti G35 Sedan and what he wanted to do with it. He was new to me,  to the G35 community and soon to be a new parent. The one thing that stood with me most about that conversation was when I asked him what he had planned for wheels, he proceeded to tell me how he had pretty much done all he wanted to do with his ride at the time and planned on sticking with his Infiniti OEM coupe 19’s.

Now fast forward to today and you’ll see proof again, that not everything goes as planned. Marcus is a proud Father and someone I now consider a good friend, but as for him being done with his car back then, I am sure by the amazing photos you see here that he has become another modified –waiting- to- get –his- next- new- part- fix- junkie like the rest of us.

Still rolling on his OEM 19’s Marcus’ first new order of business was to take his ride over to the guys at Auto Explosions in Gardena, Ca for his newly custom made KuRookie front bumper.  Of course at this point as any true tuner knows, you can’t stop there.  With the exterior mods just beginning, Marcus went on to add a molded rear trunk lip and the newly made NisRookie  side skirts, again all done by the guys at Auto Explosions.

While all this is going on, our boy here falls off the deep end and decides it’s time to hit up the engine bay with every single polished piece imaginable. Having recently joined up with the guys over at Rare JDM and with his passion running deep inside him, this stock engine bay became one of the hottest polished motors I have ever seen. My boy here didn’t miss a chance to turn some factory coated, plastic covered oem part into some new polished eye blinding piece of art. Reaching our to several contacts he had made on the various forums we all crawl, including Sean on g35driver for polishing, he found all the parts he needed to get his project on the way and when he couldn’t find what he needed, he found a way to get it done.

Flash back to that conversation we had about his wheels and then fast forward to today and you’ll find Marcus and family rolling around on a clean set of 19” Nismo LMGT4s held tightly with a set of Project Kics Neo-Chrome R 40 lugs, but more importantly if you ask him will be the flush fitment he crafted, proudly gaining him membership in the Wrong Fitment Crew , a crew focused on pushing the envelope in wheel fitments like no other.

I could go on and on about what this man is doing with his ride, new custom fitted rear exterior parts and more, but I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves and check out his extensive mods list for all the fine details. As for Marcus, you can check out his other passion at marcuscookephotography.com.

Marcus has a lot of people he would like to thank for all the help along the way, all the guys over at RareJDM, Auto Explosion Body and Paint, Randy, Viet and Marty with TWC, Sean with Strike Twice, his boys on G35Driver.com and of course his family for all their help and support. As for me, I can’t wait to see what he has in store…Forced induction maybe?
